Metamorfoze and Fadgi quality labels

Our art reproduction service offers artists, museums, galleries and archives the expertise and advanced technology to easily achieve the highest quality standards. They fully comply with Metamorfoze and Fadgi guidelines, the benchmarks for art digitisation.

Metamorfoze

Safe scanning technology, Louvre and Vatican approved

Typically, an artwork is placed on a moving table that passes under the scanner. Our scanning technology works differently. When we scan a work, only the camera moves, not the table. This also allows us to scan works larger than our table.

Artwork on the scanning table

Highly safe scanning technology, also used in the Louvre and the Vatican.

Metis scanner in the studio

The most advanced scanning technology on the market, which will remain cutting edge for years to come.

Scanning a large artwork

Scanning larger artworks is perfectly possible.

Elevated printing

Elevated printing

Thanks to our 3D scan technology, we can generate special outputs for the latest printing techniques such as elevated printing or 2.5D prints. This allows you to reproduce art that is indistinguishable from the original.

As an innovative company, 3D Material Scan collaborates with printer manufacturers to further explore this technology. This way we can always advise our clients to make projects succeed.

Our system uses 8 light sources for highly detailed capture of 3D material data. The image sensor is one of a kind, delivering exceptionally consistent and colour accurate results. We have tested other systems on the market over the past 5 years, but none have come close to the results we achieve today.
PBR stands for Physically Based Rendering. The material mimics real world physical properties as closely as possible, giving you a true to life material in the virtual world.
A digital twin of an object or material is an exact virtual copy. The closer it matches the original, the more realistic it looks in visualisations, configurators, websites, and beyond.
With 20 years of experience in photography, we have never achieved results like we do with our scanner. Uniform lighting, exceptional detail capture, consistent output, and many other factors make scanning the clear choice.
Over 90% of materials can be scanned. We still use alternative techniques for specific cases, but scanning is by far the preferred method.
